Let's make our lives count!  In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, Paul tells us that without love, everything we say or do is without meaning. All loveless effort are empty, no matter how great they might seem. He said we can speak with the tongues of angels, but if we don’t know how to love, our words are empty. The power of our words is determined by the love our words carry. If you’re having trouble in a relationship, the first question you should ask yourself is, “Am I communicating love? Am I speaking to others in the spirit of love?”

Many people, especially Christians, think there’s not much they can learn about love. They know how to give love, and they know how to receive love, but human love is not at all like the God-kind of love. Let me ask you this, what would you say is the meaning of life?

It is no secret that God’s love releases rivers of life into a parched world. Not only does love cover a multitude of sins with waves of mercy and grace; our faith can only work in an environment of love.

If you want to know how to love, you must get closer to God. The closer you get to Him, the greater your capacity to love.

Walking in love is a decision. When I choose to get under this umbrella of love, when I make the decision to love people I don’t want to love, what I’m really saying is, “God, I want Your will in my life; Lord, not my will, but Your will be done.”

One of the keys to walking in love is to resist saying anything unkind about someone else. If we’re going to be in God’s will, we have to guard the words we speak. Being negative or critical of other people will also bring unhappiness into your own life. Your life follows your words. When you get your words turned around, your whole life will turn around.

Did you know that Love is a key to your success in life? Your success in life will be measured by how you treat others. The way you measure out love to others is the way it will be measured back to you.

If we really want to be like Christ, which is what defines us as Christians, then we must love people no matter how unlovable they seem. In other words, we must make a quality decision to walk in love at all times, with all people. We must choose to get under the umbrella of love, and stay under that love cover no matter what goes on around us.

Love Is a Choice. God gave us the formula for how to walk in His love. It’s not rocket science. It’s as simple as this, we are to love the Lord our God with all of our hearts, and we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. Two simple commandments: Love God. Love people.
